Studio Facilities, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa
In 2004, we supplied animals and locations here at our facility in KwaZulu-Natal for the feature film "Man to Man". Produced by Vertigo Productions (France) and Skyline Films (UK) it is a major period film set in the Victorian era and starring Kristen Scott Thomas (The Horse Whisperer, Life as a House, The English Patient, Gosford Park) and Joseph Fiennes (Merchant of Venice, The Great Raid, Shakespeare in Love, Elizabeth) - Directed by award winning Director Regis Wargnier (East-West, Indochine).
For one of the most important scenes of the film it was necessary to construct an 1860s sailing ship that could rock (as if at sea). In order for that to happen, the Production Company constructed a huge buiding over the top of our existing Bluescreen wall. Now that 'Man to Man' has completed filming here the building remains for others to use (and add to !) as a studio or rain cover.
